Thousands of people lined the streets and fences surrounding Long Beach Airport to watch Airforce One land at 3:05 pm today.    Shortly after landing five military helicopters took to the air, one of which was reportedly carrying President Obama to Orange County for his appearance this afternoon.

The President will be in town for two days with multiple stops throughout Southern California.  Obama’s first visit to Southern California as President of the United States will include a town hall meeting in Costa Mesa on Wednesday, a tour the Edison International Vehicle Electrics Plant in Pomona, a town hall meeting in LA and an appearance on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” on Thursday.
