A Long Beach man played with pennies and went home a millionaire at Pechanga, after striking a $1,061,225.26 Jackpot on an Indiana Jones slot machine at 10:48 a.m. this morning. The devoted Pechanga player knew he had hit a jackpot, but it took him a minute to realize just how large it was.

“I was kind of in a daze,” said the lucky player, who has been coming to Pechanga since 2002. Asked what he will do with his winnings he replied, “I’m going to save my mother’s house.”

There has been a jackpot frenzy at the Pechanga Resort & Casino with the Long Beach resident becoming the fourth big winner in just over two months at the largest casino in the Western USA. An Anaheim resident hit it big on the Mystery of the Mask machine for a whopping $678,367.00 in late September. Another jackpot of $799,041.37 was won by a Chino Hills woman on a Wizard of Oz progressive in early September. A $500,000 Bally Quick Hit winner also hit in late July.

“Pechanga has more slots than any other casino in California and far more than any in Las Vegas,” said Pechanga VP of Slots Buddy Frank. “It stands to reason that we also have more jackpots than anyone else. When someone wins a once-in-a-lifetime jackpot, it creates an excitement on the floor with both our guests and our Team Members.”

Pechanga Resort & Casino is located in the Inland Empire, in the Southern California Wine Country of Temecula Valley.

Pechanga has superstar concerts; a comedy club; world title boxing events; three clubs and lounges, including Silk, the 2nd largest nightclub in Southern California; more than 100,000 square feet of convention/meeting space; and the new 18-hole Journey at Pechanga, which has been rated as one of the best new golf courses of 2008. As the largest casino in the Western United States, Pechanga is perfect for a romantic weekend or just a daytrip with happening nightlife to make for an exciting getaway.
